                      COMPETITIVE EVENTS PREPARATION WORKSHOP

If you and your chapter members are interested in learning more about Competitive Events, please join us at our Competitive Events Preparation Workshop located at the Governor Office Building located on 200 Madison Street in Jefferson City! We will be having the Competitive Events Preparation Workshop in-person this year.

Registration is currently open and will close on Friday, November 19, 2021 at midnight. The Registration Fee is $15.00 per registered participant, and includes lunch. Space is limited, so Local Chapters will be limited to five (5) total registered participants.

As the Local Chapter Advisor, you are responsible to collect a competed and signed Multiple Release Form from each student member. You will then turn in one copy of the signed Chapter Assurance Form to our office. Please send this form to Amelia Comfort at [email protected] by Friday, November 26, 2021 at 12:00 pm.

All participants will need a signed copy of the COVID-19 Liability Release Waiver. Missouri HOSA will require masks to be worn during this statewide event. Local Chapter members will be placed at the same table during presentations. Please send these signed and completed forms to Amelia Comfort at [email protected] by Friday, November 26, 2021 at 12:00 pm.

This is a casual event. Please have all participants wear a HOSA shirt (preferably matching Local Chapter attire), and jeans with no holes.

COMPETITIVE EVENTS TESTIMONIAL

"Competing with HOSA has been about so much more than just the medal. Sure, gaining recognition for your hard work feels amazing, but the networking, leadership, and education that HOSA has brought me along the way has taken me so much further than I could have ever imagined.

I have been competing with HOSA for five years now, and it has been the five most rewarding years of my life. HOSA gives you the hands-on experience that you cannot gain in the classroom. The relationships that I have gained have taken me far, and I am so grateful for this organization. To those just starting out, or to those waiting to take the jump into the competition side of HOSA, I say… Take that jump! There is nothing to lose, and much to gain. If anything, I wish I would have started sooner.

The medals in this box do not just showcase the placement in the events in which I have competed in, but they display a lot of growth. I encourage you to start today and take risks not just within HOSA, but within everything you set your mind to. You might just be surprised by the outcome!"
